I came back this weekend after being gone 2 days to find my cased WBS/straw pinning. But not just pinning Pinning ALLL OVER and evenly. I guess patching really is worth the time. Well its my first straw grow. My cakes about 1x1.5 ft by 4 inches thick. Cased in about a 1/2 inch verm coir mix.

My question is this. at the moment i have literally hundreds of pins. Its quite amazing how mnay there are...

Does this mean im going to just have a ton of Small mushrooms like off my BRF cakes i fuited a while back??

Or lots of medium to large sized fruits....??? Wish i had a damn digital cam to take pics for you. maybe ill borrow one tomorrow and post pics.

Pics would be nice. I guess the size of the fruits are really determined by the depth of the substrate layer. 4 inches sounds pretty good and deep, should be nice size, IMO.

straw puts out some monsters, they will almost deffinetly be bigger than the ones from the cakes. and by your substrate depth yeah youll get some nice size ones, good job on it and good luck with the rest of the grow, but theres not much left to do but ride out the harvest and pray for not contams for the second flush and also straw can produce a great second and third flush. many say it cant but ive seen some one the grow logs and they have deffinetly produced some of the best flushes ive seen second time around.
