so do we need a holiday just to say thank you? and who are you saying thanks to? why would we need to limit one or a few things to thank when we have everything to be thankful for?
when I see thanksgiving, I see a great idea that can be applied everyday (including the turkey )
if it's anything specific we should honor on thanksgiving, its the natives of north, central, and south america. their culture, land, and beliefs were nearly eradicated. thankfully all that was mentioned above is still somewhat present to this day.
-------------------- Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.---senior doobie
I adopted one of Oprahs tricks. At the end of everyday, i recall 5 things that happened that I am thankful for and dwell in appreciation energy. It feels good and creates a vortex that keeps sucking in more of your attention towards all you have to be thankful of.
