Soil. leaves and dung?

Is it possible to use soil,leaves and dung as a substrate ? And use the same way as the BRF or WBS tek? Im just curious if anyone has done a nature type substrate to imitate what theyd have outdoors to grow on.

Yes you can

I have used almost every type of crap from my garden you can think of.

The trick is getting the water content right and some things turn out to be not so good.

But I have had great results using grass clippings that have turned brown and the blackest dirt from the bottom of my compost pile mixed 50/50

Shrooms will grow on a amazing amount of stuff.

Get experiment and have fun.

Oh yeah and grass clippings mixed with reg manure in the bag mixed 50/50 works very good as well.

Basically anything that you find in here as a Substrate for bulk growing will work in a jar. :grin:
