just a dream
    #3390057 - 11/21/04 02:00 AM (18 years, 11 days ago)

today while i was taking my nap i had a dream. this dream was of some cakes laying on their side instead of standing up. right off the top of my head i can think of one plus and one bad. the plus is you dont have to worry about cakes tipping over. the minus is you would be lowering your growing surface. but would you have the same results if they were on there sides considering only one side would need the nutriets? anybody got any ideas on this? pluses or minuses?

you could cut the cakes in half lengthwise and have two cakes, put the flat side down. the plus to this that i can tell is that there would be more area for the cake to pick up moisture from the rocks. and also you would have nearly the same fruiting surface area.

I mentioned this idea another time and I remember someone saying it would just cut down on the overall nutrients available to the mushies and therefore result in smaller sized mushies in your yields, and potentially in smaller overall yields. But they didn't say that was from experience, I think it was just logical deducing.

i can see how some would think this but if you had mushies on both sides i dont see how this would effect it if they were whole or in half. i think it would still provide enough to both halves. i could be wrong but its hard for me to see this as a negative.
