they are a bit moist because they just got out from a dunk... can i sterilize the verm for rolling in the pc? no microwave or oven.....

Yes, you can PC it. It's much easier to microwave it, though. You don't have a microwave? Suckage.. go pick one up for 5$ at a thrift store.

Normally i'm not much on using microwaves for sterilizing things but for my casing mix i always nuke it. But actually verm should be sterile straight from the bag. The temp's it undergoes during the process of its making takes it well beyond the temp needed for sterilization. Its just the peat moss or coco coir you gotta worry about.

Why? They usually have a few, just pick one thats clean.

I suppose that's true.. Hmm.. I wouldn't consider it truely sterile, though. We have no idea how it's stored before its put into bags. Obviously, it has to cool before being put in the bags. It's probably nothing to worry about, but i'm sure it doesen't hurt anything, either.
