couple noob questions

Should i dunk my Pf cakes after they are done colonizing? How many hours? Also, what is rolling the cakes mean? Thanks

yes. 12-24 hrs with a little peroxide also. roll the cake in vermiculite then put moist verm on the lid you are sitting it on and then put verm on top of the cake also.

Lol, ok the purpose of dunking is for the purpose of moisture, usually. You shouldn't need to dunk but you can, some people think it'll help give you better yields, some think not. If you think your cakes are unusually dry, dunk em, but they probably won't need it. Rolling means that you get some dry vermiculite(or is it wet verm.?) and you *roll* the cake in it to get some verm. on it. Then you incubate it for about 3 days to let the mycelium colonize that verm. you just put on it, then you put the cake in your fruiting chamber. Ta-da. Any other Q's? Or anything I might have missed?

Oh yeah, the h202 (peroxide) is to kill contams. and it's one part h202 for every 100 parts of water, too much h202 is bad for the cake. Dunking for longer than 24 hours is not a good idea so don't shoot for longer than 24, gl, hope it works out right Later
