wait untill you got a good LITTLE cotton ball growing and if you shake early look for it to look like someone spit into the jar.

This was after 2 weeks, and it was enough to make 8 syringes. Sucking the balls up and spitting them back out produced huge clouds of myc, the water was milky.

No secret. That strain just worked well. Some don't. I never did get an Orrisa to work as a liquid culture.

Jar was innocculated from a spore syringe (1cc) Colonization time saves about 5 - 7 days over multispore injection.
The malt is dry malt powder, available at any U-brew (beer) store.
Stick to 4% solutions. eg.
For Malt Liquid culture - 1tb.(10g) Malt to 1 Cup(250ml) water For Agar Solid Culture - 1 tb.(10g) Malt + 1tb.(10g) Agar to 2 Cups(500ml)
You can also replace the dry malt with dextrose sugar from a drug store, health food store etc. It won't work as well in the agar mix though.
