My new tobacco sprouts (no pics)
    #3379443 - 11/18/04 12:46 PM (19 years, 23 days ago)

I just sprouted ~20 N. rustica and ~30 Jasmine tobacco in the past week, and they're looking nicely. I'll try to get a pic today or tomorrow. Anybody have any tips? Currendly they're all in 1 large pot with plastic wrap over it next to a south facing window. I spray it whenever the soil isn't moist. Any tips?

Take that clear wrap off and let them breahte. Give em lots of manure in there soil and keep them wet watering every day. You should divide them so each one has its own pot. They grow real big

I used a 30/30/40 composted manure, potting soil, pearlite mix. The best use i found for the jasmines is plant them in spring about 2' apart. Then once they shade all the ground make mushroom patches under them, they make a nice humid environmet for the shrooms. Also the flowers taste great when you suck on the end like with honey suckles.

Thanks for the info. I grow tobacco right now, but only N. rustica from cuttings. I need to get a small amount of poo...hmm. I tried rustica from seed once and i grew the little thing for about 6 weeks, then it wilted away :p I'm getting better with plants, you guys are definitely a great help. I need some sleep though, haven't slept in 2 days.
