slow cooker for incubation?

I was thinking the other day, if you had some pf jars sittin in a crock pot with the setting at warm... wouldn't that be a very effective way of keeping the jars at 85 safely?

Around what temperature does a crockpot maintain on the "warm" setting, does anyone know?

No but I would bet this creates hot spots..the bottoms would most likly be much hotter. Using crockpots or whatever just doesnt seem like it will evenly and consistantly heat up the substrate and you would probably be better off just sticking them in a cabinant..to hot can kill..to cold is just slower.
