flushing my casing

I'm recently trying out a casing method using 1 layer crushed myc underneath 1 layer damp vermiculite. It's about 2 days old now. Already myc is breaking through the top (which I re-cover w/ verm). However, what are the tricks for flushing large cashings such as this (9"x13"). I received this idea from "Puscle" so, anyone who's had first hand experience w/ casings would be nice.... :) Also, what are the life spans of casings like this....will simple verm keep it fresh, moist enough or should maybe use other substrates later on?? I'm taking proper care of these casings so I would like to preserve and produce "decent" harvests.....appreciation here.....

They need air, 2 - 3 times a day, and light. Also once a day mistings until you see pins. Resume mistings between flushes. You should get at least three flushes.
