Need some help with Humboldt identification
    #3375601 - 11/17/04 07:40 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

I think I have two different species here, both found in an old logging area of Humboldt county on decaying wood matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and I'm a newbie so I hope I'm not disobeying protocol.

Not sure on the identification, however you do have two species.

They look similar to a Stropharia.

I think you are thinking that you have some active mushrooms. Those are not Ps. Azurescens or cyanescens.

Those are probably poisionous. The white gills arent a good sign.

I'm thinking hypholoma, no way to tell without a spore print though...

like angry said, nothing active or edible.
