Deformed shrooms or natural?(pic)

There about 5 shrooms like this..where half of the tip is peeled back and the underside of the shrooms is exposed. Is this normal? Why are there so many like this? Thanks.

I read in the contam faq that can be caused by verticillium. But I think maybe if they bend a lot while growing that might cause it too..
though verticillium is apparently harmless, I would dry them out before use, if you decide to use them at all..

you have 0% contam!!! It is normal. cubes grow mutants all the time
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

This is a very common, harmless mutation. Your shock will get old after you've seen it a thousand times.

Thanks all. Dang I woke up today and found alot of them growing in weird ways...
I made a better terranium that only gets light from the top so hopefully that will change the direction of growth.
