...when you see these guys?
Although annoying at times, these guys are really pretty harmless. But the majority of people respond with animosity, contempt, or even violence towards them. Why? Is there really some reason to fear them? Or do people just like to pick on them the same way we all picked on the fat kid in the schoolyard?
I suggest talking to them next time. I think you'd be suprised to find out that most of them are just nice young kids who have been indoctrinated (brainwashed, some may say) by a lifetime of growing up in the Mormon church. And you never know, some of these kids just might turn out to be OK in the end.....

I converse with them.
It can be interesting.
I try to draw them away from their "sales pitch" tho.
Just have a conversation.
Altho sometimes i run out back, climb on the roof, and bombard them with water balloons.

All pretty typical responses so far. Some people hide, some people yell, some people are mean, some people throw stuff, some even get violent. Trust me, I have all kinds of stories I could tell!! 
It is very refreshing when someone wants to just talk. Especially when they are up front in saying "I want no part of your religeous message" but they still have a civil conversation. Unfortunately, thats rare.  Kinda makes me sad to think that people are so callous. Its a sad reflection on humanity. I was a pretty hardened person after two years, I can tell you that!

I'm definately a black sheep. My family is mostly still pretty staunch Mormons but they just roll there eyes and accept who I am today (like they have any choice!  )
I'm especially different bacause I went on a mission. Most guys who get that deep into it never go astray. But there are a few of us out there brave enough to ask the hard questions.

I have no problem with bible beaters. I am always polite and invite them in for a bowl or a beer...they respectfully decline and never come back  So lonely...

I just think of them as something new to fuck with. It is way more fun to fuck with people in real life than it is on the phone.

They showed up at my house last summer on a Friday evening right in the middle of a big party. The garage was full of pot smoke as they walked up and the first thing I did when I saw them was offer them a beer! Everyone laughed.
Funny thing was that they stuck around and talked to all these stoners and ate some of the food I was cooking on the BBQ. Those fuckers are always hungry!

I respect your ability to turn your back on a lot of people to follow your own beliefs(or lack thereof). I remember a mormon guy I knew in grade 9 telling me about his parents digging through his older sister's stuff and finding a pipe, they were quite cross indeed. But that was nothing when they found the ouiji board, they almost disowned her after that.
Quick question: I have been invited to this guys 'calling' which is a celebration of his wedding(which is already done). Any idea what to expect? He says it'll be just shooting the shit and eating cheesecake.

Yeah, most Mormon get-togethers are kinda like lame tupperware parties. Just people sitting around talking and having punch and cookies. But no matter what the event you can almost always count on some kind of cheesy refreshments. Weird shit, like a green jello mold with shredded carrots and pineapple in it.
