freeze dry, grind, soak in everclear, drain, retain liquid, rinse again, rinse again, test for alkaloids in your last slurry, if satisfied with extraction discard waste, evaporate everlcear to managable degree but not entirely crystals will oxidize very quickly, find your favorite liquor truffle and and add a proportionate amount of your elixer, enjoy

that seems a good method but shroom chocolates are alot different then a shroom oil extraction..
I as well am interested in this...
TO melt chocolate you need heat, but heat= reduce potency.. What brand is the best chocolate to use? I hear always buy very good chocolate cause cheap shit goes bad sooner, and with good stuff it can last 3 years in the freezer if stored properly... Can anyone confirm this

Chocolate metls in your hand.. Those temperatures definately aren't too high to break down psilocybin. Can't you just dry and powder the mushrooms and mix into warm chocolate?

i know theres a difference but i figured what the hell , all you taste is chocalate that way. its more work but hey. anyways you can skip the extraction and just add your ground powder at the end . no heat. the only reason i can see using good choc vs bad is it tastes better and melts better

you can just use your favorite candy bar, Hershey's works good, and melt them down in the microwave or on the stove a double broiler works the best but a single pot will work but don't over heat the chocolate causing it to burn, once its all melted turn the stove off and get your shrooms ready, let it start to harden a little bit and then by that time the temp is no were near the temps you trying to stay away from no potency lost at all. and then just quickly dip your shrooms in with tongs and the end result is chocolate covered shrooms.

ok. I knowthatusing good chocolate is key. I dont want to do through the extraction process.
What is best way to grind them. In a coffee grinder/food processor? Will the potency drop due to the pulverizing??

good question I often wonder..
yes, because when you pulverize it, you are causing it to oxidate quicker.. But I imagine if you ground it right before you put it in the chocolate the chocolate would preserve it from oxidating..
at least that is the theory.. And plus I would think you would always want to crush them because that way you hardly taste it.

I've done this many time in the past (when i could eat chocolate) we always went the easy way: -got a lil' choco fondue let it sit 'til almost room temp. -mince up the dried shroomies -fold in gently and cool for just a few mins.
wrap in a lovely purple foil and enjoy!
(by the way my brother's like a sue chef so he could mince probably like your grinder so that might be worth noting
