Is this still contaminated?

Hello, I am currently doing a grow. I am starting a few potential casings. I think one bag is contaminated, I checked the FAQ and I now think it is wet spot (Bacillus sp) I just want to get your opinions before I chuck this bag.

The bottom of picture number 2 is normal, the rye berries are just dry on the very bottom, the bag is tilted to show the contamination at the bottom of the bag.

Definitely contaminated. Don't open the bag, just toss it into the trash bin.

Well I didn't throw it out, I just let it grow and this is the update. It doesn't look contaminated at all anymore to me, what are your opinions?

Hum... I am waiting for someone's opinion so I can go ahead and throw it out or case it tonight.

The first pictures you posted are easy to misinterpret. When I saw the bottom one, it looked like the top part was healthy, uncolonized grain, but the bottom section looked almost moldy. Did it look gooey or wet to make you think Bacillus? Just looking at the pics and hearing you say the bottom part of the substrate was 'normal' makes it tempting to think that it was only uneven water absorption.

The new pics do look quite healthy, but that doesn't mean it's guaranteed. If I had a bag like that that I was sure had a bacterial problem, AT MOST I'd spawn it to a bulk substrate before fruiting it. At least that would 'dilute' any problems somewhat. I understand not wanting to lose something like that, especially when it looks like it does.

Just an advice. If you follow Suntzu tip and spawn to bulk, then don't use the substrate at the bottom.
I would like to see an updated pic taken at the same section (bottom), if possible of course ...
