cow manure, what can I grow?
    #3368250 - 11/16/04 12:11 PM (12 years, 23 days ago)

I've got tons of cow manure available and I would like to grow something with it. Better outdoors in a mediterranean climate. Which mushrooms are suitable?

coprinus comatus would be a good candidate.

Agricus blazei grows on leached cow manure compost(GGMM). If you
can leach and compost it you can grow Lepiota rachodes,
Blewits, Agaricus bisporus. For the Blewits and L. rachodes I don't
think you would even need to compost, just leach.

The Agaricus blazei might be a good choice it likes warm weather. They
grow it outdoors in Brazil. Check out mushworld a Korean cultivation site
they have some information ongrowing blazei.

Falcon,

So what do you mean by Leached/how is that done--not much to manure to begin with, so how do you keep it from "disintegrating" in the water?

Yeah, there would be a problem with it falling apart.

You could just leave it out in the rain a couple of times.
