mycelium through the casing layer
    #3368231 - 11/16/04 12:06 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

I was reading a grow log and the person talked about how you dont want the mycelium to overtake the casing layer. Also when I look at pictures of peoples large flushes, their casing layer isn't covered in mycelium. My last 5 casings all went like this. I don't have new pictures of them but here is one of my first.

How can I stop this from happening? As soon as I case them I cover until they need to be patched, I lightly patch and throw in grow chamber. For 2 weeks they sit and colonize through this casing layer. It makes me terribly upset because I've no idea what to do or how to stop it.

try with one casing doing this: when you case...fruit it ASAP dont incubate. You might find yourself with some pleasent results!

also to go abck with whats happeneing to you...try misting a little more when you first put it in the fruitng conditions.
