quick question

is it illogical to raise the casing temp to let the myc colonize more through my thick casing layer?

What exactly do you mean?

After casing, you're supposed to put the casing back into ~84?F temperatures for another few days, until it begins to break the surface.

You're going to want the mycelium to grow through the casing layer, yes. About same temperature as incubation. Once the mycelium has grown through (evenly  )set that motha in a fruiting chamber.

well you see i waited as it was in the fruiting chamber and a patch or two came through....i repatched, and let it sit a day or two, then that's when i read to drop the temp and start the fruiting process. well, guess i've been waiting forever for nothing....what will this do to the pinning cycle?

You can edit posts ya know.

If the myc hasn't broken through the surface yet, I doubt it will be affected. Just put it back into the incubation chamber and wait until it starts to punch through. If it's even, fruit as normal. If it's not, patch the visable areas and incubate for another few days before fruiting.

How even is it? A pic would be helpful..

If it is very splotchy, you can very lightly cover the exposed patches with casing material, and incubate for another ~24-48 hours before fruiting.
