Now, don't ask - don't think - just do it.
Explain life to me, from the angle you seem fit, include everything you seem fit!
(And I'd really appreciate if nobody asked any questions, nobody commented on any post at all. Don't do anything but explain life to me - riddle or not. I don't want a discussion thread, I want an explanation thread where everything counts as the truth.)

heh, creative.
from any angle - that is from the observation of a "living organism" - life appears as everything that they experience.
to then compress this sum of all experiences into a worded description is like playing years of non-stop footage in a single paid advertisement.
describing anything turns the experience into an abstract, which we associate as the experience itself, yet it is unbelievably invalid.
to add to this, semantics of the term 'life' arise. how can we objectify life being subjective 'living' beings? Is it animation through passing timeframes, or is it sentience, or is it individualized fragments of the whole which compete for survival within the whole?
It's all too after-the-fact and biased to serve any use. (what is use? )
so life is a symbol. it means different things to different people. what it means to me (which was the question i think) is everything. to live is to be infinite. or something.
it's really a matter of let's make up a symbol to describe our biased observations of likely-designed fragments, and then as our views change, continue to mold the symbol to an everchanging perception.
life is, plain and simple. I realize this was about 8000 times longer than it had to be.

Life is infinitely expanding consciousness. All things are alive, just may not be aware of it.
Complexity of matter does not always denote life, just denotes sentience and awareness, and not necessarily awareness of itself...just an awareness.

Short form: The Universe is Life.
What angle can I come from, here? What Life? Biological life? The life experiences of a human? My life?
Well why don't we start from one end and, naturally, come to the other?
I think Life, in terms of "living organisms", is a natural product of our Universe. I could be wrong, of course, but the knowledge I have gathered has me lean towards this possibility. I do not really agree with the idea of raising "living organisms" above the level of "ordinary matter". We are just a much more complex arrangement of "ordinary matter". I don't think Life was created in this Universe, more that the Universe was created and thus so was Life. We are a natural product of the Universe, the same as any star, rock, or grain of dust.
So what is it, then, "to Live"? I would define it as the process of decreasing Entropy within a restricted area. The Universe progresses, through time, towards greater and greater entropy (a measure of disorder). All physical processes lead to an increase in entropy. In spite of this we find incredibly complex physical systems like biology, which seem to counteract the process of entropy increase. So this is what "Life" is, then: anti-entropy. I would also say that Life implies a way to reproduce over time. The Sun is alive, for instance. It acts as a local low-entropy system, consumes material for energy (like any living organism), and will reproduce into many offspring in the far distant future. So, the Sun is alive
What about this thing we call our "life"? This long string of experiences we go through from birth to death? This I cannot explain, and I'll keep most of my ideas private for now. Obviously it means a great deal to most of us. Society is a monster, a being of its own far out of proportion with any of us. It largely determines the course of one's life.
Finally we get to my Life, the Great Experiment What can I say? I enjoy being "alive". I can't remember anything before I was alive, so I may not remember anything when I'm not alive. It's a chilling idea, to me. I can't remember how old I was when I decided life was an experiment, because I can't remember much before I did. I think it was a good decision, though. I've learned a lot in my time here, and look forward to at least another 60 years of learning. My life is a drive to know. I am driven, at all times, to know the why of everything around me.
Of course I've tried my hardest to stick around this long. I seem to be doing pretty good, too. I'm still here, alive...but so are 6 billion other people.
Life is interesting.

Quote:
living Far Away (Careless) (raw note, unfinnished just a start) ------------------------------------------------------------- When It escapes into my dream It let the thoughts go free No focus It just see It lie and wonder Do It really slumber Or do It stay awake Just more happily {Chorus} change is joyful The happy moment The joy you feel It is all over And there you breathe Happiness would set you free It could never bind Love cannot be measured judging loads the mind Time is action Again and Again We could se or let it be {Chorus} change is awful the thoughts of longing Stays in the past or go beyond it the happy moments Will they ever come Listing to port inside my humbled mind {Chorus} I must express the joy It feel The present change The instancy This moment I create but now is her Given in birth It need not crave It create {Chorus} between past and to the future the only moment could it be Happiness is something temporarily, always has to be renewed, So if one need a source, and it is life itself, Well I be damn, im happy all the fucking time! {Chorus} time is a particulate disease let it fool ore let it flow it think of all the action it miss the moment of the true it could see infinite change to be the joy of now Inveterately. {Chorus} If you feel lacking in reality acknowledged facts or misery unreal you see the moment your stuck inside the mind magic mind of liberty create the moment forget the port inside your mind set it free and you shall find {Chorus} marriga is a port for some not like a boat on open sea newer ever could it bind it is just more of me. nonjudgmental, lives criticize put people down It forgive mistakes, It is the second change of christ.

Deal.
My view on life:
As the great whole once went into parts and scattered into the deep black, planets, moons and things became.
As did our planet, we now living on it are lucky to have the environment that became. The combinations of elements (and the unknown factor which I believe has to do with the "the great whole" ) caused the first form of life to appear.
That life evolved due to it's environment and it's quality to know that it wants to stay alive at all cost. And it kept on doing that, and will keep on doing it untill planet earth ends.
I believe we look to far because we can, we write our daily story. But the matter we tend to forget is that we make up our own world. And we live our own story, and our story effects our environment. So the way we are, we shape our environment. And visa versa, and the things we experience are just like the lion killing the zebra. We do things, but they only matter in the story of life. When we die the story of life ends. And we can only hope a story of energy is what comes after it.
