where to buy agar?

quick one:

where is the easiest/cheapest/most common kind of store/place to purchase agar? (approx. prices too please?)

id like to find some for cheap here in town(sacramento). someone suggested i use agar to culture dried gills (from a closed, dried cao) to create fresh spores. any advice (or links) on this tek would be greatly appreciated.
