A noob question i know...i have a thick casing layer to keep in mind...but as my casing is awaiting to pin for a few weeks now in he fruiting chamber, why not keep the temperatures up in the 80's so the mycelium can colonize faster? I've seen casings wehre the mycelium was comming up throughout the whole casing and mine barely has a few patches here or there. Obviously i'm probably missing something? I'd think a higher temp in the fruiting chamber would help that......but ohhh, just thought....the drop in temp induces pinning....so even though i can't see the mycelium, there's still some thigs waiting to happen underneath huh? just a question. any words of wisdom?

thanks

higher temp would let the myc grow more, but then it wouldnt want to fruit as lower temps makes myc think it needs babies so it can live on forever!

somepeople case and fruit right away....others patch and let the myc grow thru the casing layer....you want a even level of myc and just try to do that using your best judgement.
