 new harvesting prob

alright i harvested by "twist and pull"but it is really really bothering me to just cut the bottoms off with the casing layer and lose all that weight just to get rid of the "dirt" to make them more marketable any solutions?

Eh, I don't usually cut it off. I just pinch the shroom between my fingers and run them down the shroom. It takes most of the shit off. Then while it dries infront of a fan and shrivels, the rest usually falls off.

What is wrong with cutting? Would it be better to pinch them off, as opposed to pinching and ripping them off?

if you dry them first you can brush them off with a tooth brush

Try not to mess with mushrooms when they are wet as this can cause excessive bruising. Just dry them first like prisoner said. Most verm flies off the shroomies while drying. Rest you can clean after cracker dry.
