Does the strain matter?

And if so, to what degree. Are inter-generational mutations likely/possible and how often and to what degree to they occur (if they do)? Are the differences between strains purely/partially environmental? If so, which environmental factors affect which growth/development reactions?

I'm still forming my opinion, but would appreciate if others would share their opinions on it.

Yes, somewhat. Mutations can not be avoided. How often? Good question. The differences between strains is pure genetics. Environmental factors such as, available nutrients, water, humidity, temperature and fresh air, all effect the overall yield, speed of growth, and to a lesser degree potency. I believe potency is largely predetermined by spore race. (genetics)

Are you saying that the physiology is mostly environmental and the pharmacology is mostly genetic? I hadn't considered them seperately before. Just figured they went hand-in-hand. Probably a bad assumption..

The two are inter-woven and inseperable. Still, a weak spore race will produce inferior fruit, despite the best parameters.
