Are old syringes OK?

Is it ok for me to use syringes that i've used for previous inoculations? what types of precautions should i take to sterilize them before i make the spore syringe?

i'm also wondering about sterilizing the needle between each jar when you're inoculating...is this excessive?

You should read the end of the PF Tek. It has tips on sterlizing syringes. I don't think sterilizing the needle after each innoculation is too excessive. Nothing is too excessive when it comes to growing mushrooms. You can never be too clean~
