what can I use instead for mexicana A strain? all the stores are out for rye grass seeds now and I have to wait to after the winter to get some.

You can use any other strains. Exactly what are you limiting yourself do? parameters would be helpful. Are you looking to grow extra potent ones, exotics or just mushies to trip on?

Can't you use an assortment of different grains and seeds? So much stuff can be used as substrate to grow mushrooms. This reminds me of a dream i had the other night where i was talking to some misinformed naive dude who wanted to grow mushrooms using dirt and concrete. Quite a hilarious dream. Sorry to go off topic, didn't wanna make a new thread just for that (how many times have i said sorry tonight, geez). Good night, peace.

Try home depot, scott's brand. if you've got one. big stores like that usually carry things (maybe in lesser amounts) year round. i just got mine there.

rye grass is sold for the winter season! you should be able to find it everywhere.i live in the country and everyone around were i live just tilled up there fields and planted rye grass so that their cows would have grass to eat this winter.
