I am looking for a flowhood...

Hey, just wondering about any good places to get a flowhood... Probably expensive to get one shipped assembled with shipping and all, but maybe some are available as kits. Or shoot it might just be worth coppin out the extra dough for it to be ready to go... Just wondering if anyone had a recommendations or any of the vendors carried them. Don't really have the time to put together my own, but got some cash I could shell out. Thanks.

Stamets carries them at his site, and you better believe they are expensive.

Thanks sporesource. I did look at Stamets and that's why I was posted this question, just looking for something to compare and contrast, have some options you know... Everything in the archives looks like they were in short supply and once those who had them were sold out, they weren't restocking them.
And of course, I would always love to support a vendor thanks again...

I understand the want to support our vendors, but a flow hood is very easy, and cheap to build. 1 large plastic bin, 1-2 computer fans, 1, 12 volt transformer, some tyvek, a little imagination, and common since is all you need.

cricket, I believe you are thinking of a positive pressure glovebox, much different from a flowhood.

There are do-it-yourself teks which can save money but if money is not an issue you might be better of slapping it on credit and making payments. Perhaps Ebay will have a good one at some point. Do a search for "flowhood" and you should see instructions in Advanced Cultivation. Google or Yahoo! might have some links too.

Sorry, I was high... I WAS thinking of a positive pressure glovebox. I made it to replace my flow hood. The flow hood I made was constructed out of ... two. 110 volt bathroom vent fans, Large plastic storage bin, and Tyvek house wrap. It worked very well. The only problem I had with it was that the noise could get on your nerves after a while.

Depends on what you think is expensive. You can put one together for as little as $200 and yes it is a true HEPA flowhood with proper cfm and static pressure. Spores101 can and will help you out and delivers a quality product.

I the one that spores101 was offering was only 12 X 12 X 12, which seems like kind of a small work area
