Algae?

I got a friend of mine into cultivation, and made PF jars and everything for him. He has an outdoor greenhouse which usually has a warmer temp than his house, so we decided that he should let them colonize in there. Anyway, i forgot to tell him to keep them in the dark, and well, it looks almost like there is algae growin on isolated granules of BRF in the jars. ( there were a few chunks in my homemade flour). i have seen green mold before and this is definately not it. it looks exactly like algae, i'm pretty sure it is algae, but i thought i'd better post just to make sure. The temps in the greenhouse have been pretty low over the past week, so the jars haven't started to colonize at all yet. the green stuff hasn't spread much at all over the past few days, maybe like a quarter of a millimeter, so i'm postive its not mold. so basically what i want to know is,

1) is there any serious contam that looks like algae?

2) will the cakes be able to conlonize corretly with a few little specks of algae in them?

thanks, i'm sure its probably nothing, but since the forum is here, i thought i'd ask anyway.

I doubt that algae can grow in a brf/ver jar.
how wet did you make the substrate? and there are different types of contamination, you should check a p.s book, probably the MC, try the p.library

oh yeh your best bet is to take a lighter(torch is better) and heat that spot untill the green part turns dark brown or black, but be careful not to touch the heated glass with anything cold(like a tissue w\ h2o).
