I picked about a pound with nicotinia rustica foliage. I was wondering if I should smoke this? :smile:  i want to know  about preparation and usage

Well, to dry it, i usually take 2 pieces of glass and put a tobacco leaf between it and squeeze it as much as possible to get all the 'juice' out. Then i press the whole leaf with my fingers and either lay it out to dry, or put it in a book to dry (either works just as well). For smoking, i don't smoke it alone very often at all, i mix it with a bowl of pot (very nice and smoothe mixture). Sometimes i roll a cigajoint (all tobacco) and it's quite harsh, but very very potent (my N. rustica is the most potent tobacco i've smoked to date). Good luck. I'm getting interested in oral ingestion since a friend brought it up not long ago. Any info?

man i tried smoking that stuff before and it was horrible, i had a bunch of it from some plants i had so whenever i was poor as hell and couldn't afford cigs i would take tokes out of a bong and almost puke but it gave me a worthy nicotine rush. i tried smoking it many ways and tiny bong hits (big ones will destroy your lungs) seemed the best, never tried mixing it with weed though don't think i would. to me it taste exactly like smoking the filling of a philly blunt :puke:

about oral, i'd imagine if you swallow you'd get quite sick, it wouldn't really be effect as a quid i don't think. you could make a tincture but that's deadly as nicotine is highly toxic.

i just roll thin cigs out of it since it is SO strong.
mixing with weed would spoil both the weed and rustica IMO.
i who am not a nicotiana smoker have been enchanted by nicotiana rustica/glauca. the real nicotine buzz kicks ass, nothing to do with industrial cigs.

You need to cure the tobacco. You dry them out hung on stirngs by the stem then spray them with a yeast and flavoring mix and roll them into logs of 10-30 leaves. Stack them in a kiln set at 110 for 7 days.

I hear they have at least three or for harmalin chemicals in this plant so nicotine isnt the only thing it be wurth smoking for.

Don't forget what John said about it being toxic. Nicotine is a powerful poison, they use it to kill insects. It will kill people too if they ingest too much.
