Yasser Arafat is dead

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=st..._ea/obit_arafat It finally happened. I have to say I mourn the pain that every living being must go through in death, and I wish the man a better existence in the next life(if possible to escape the horrible karma he has created), but I am definately glad he is gone. He was a terrible man, a terrible leader, and the most cowardly and dishonerable warrior. He stole billions from his people leaving them in poverty and exploited them as bombs to kill innocent people, and he destroyed all chances for peace because could never give up the violence and struggle that made him. Hopefully wherever he is going, he will not live such a pathetic and disgusting existence as he did here.

Lets hope that a more progressive leader can come out on top and move towards peace. It could be a huge step for not only the israeli-palastinian conflict but for tensions around the world.

Perhaps now the Israelis and Palestinians can work towards peace.

I think at one point he may have had potential to be a peacemaker, but then he ruined his credibility.

Just remember he contributed to burning the road map just as much as Sharon has.

What the Palestinians need to build is a giant dome over their land so that Israeli missiles, tanks, and bulldozers cant come in.

Lets see how fast this thread gets ugly...
Lets do an experiment...
How many of you can show an iota of respect and say nothing negative about his death.. maybe even show respect and keeping in mind the fact that this man was very important and loved by many people...
Give it a try: depart from the norm of these threads and turn your cheek...
whatever you believe in...
see how fast this sincere post gets burned...

I always hate to see a person die, but I do believe that his death could save many lives.

As would Sharon. In retrospect though Arafat wasn't that bad. He did manage to win a peace prize.

I'm with you on Sharon, but Arafat's peace prize was not deserved if you ask me.
