I was wondering, how big exactly should I let my Cubes get before harvesting? I have heard taht people dont like em' large because the taste isnt great, and that smaller=the same or more potentcy. Is this true? And if so, should I wait till about 4 inches for harvest?

Most people pick them as soon as the veil tears.

My man, just wait for the veil to start to tear. they won't grow hardly any more after that.
if you're worried about taste, check out the mushrooms section of www.erowid.com under "plants and drugs" on the front page... there's some recepies that'll help you get them down a bit easier. my personal favorite is a chocolate smoothie.

mmm fresh mushrooms are good. Maybe not on the top of my list of things I love to eat, but definately not the bottom either.
Now dry mushrooms.. yuck, those make me gag.
And as Zero said, pick them as the veil tears. I pick mine sometimes just before I think the veil will be tearing and sometimes after the veil has broke.
Some people claim the most potency before the veil breaks, but there is no real proof to support that claim.

I'm also confused. After the "viel" breaks, does that mean they are done growing, and stop producing the drug?
Also I'm assuming that the veil breaking looks like this:

When you say most people, you mean majority? Cuz I know plenty of people(especially the successful ones dealing with large clusters) that wait well past veil breaking away stage.

You know this question is asked at least 2 times a day? You could look around a bit if youve gotten far enough to get them mature you've had a good amount of time to have been reading.
