Using fully colonized pf jars to inoculate rye?

Would it be feasible to chop up my pf(brf) jars in a food processor and use it to inoculate quarts of rye?
If this is possible, are there any side effects, like lesser potency or smaller flushes?

Also, any idea how many quarts I could inoculate with this method, using 1/2 pint pf jars?

uhh, theoretically all you need is one cell of mycelium per inoculation. The problem with using a pf jar to get a rye jar inoc'd is likelyhood of contamination.
I see no reason for affecting potency or flushes through any inoculation medium. that shit has to do with other shit

"that shit has to do with other shit"
LOL!
Ok, so contam is always a risk, but if this were done under extremely sterile conditions, is it possible?
If the risk is really high, then I don't want to mess with it.
Just wanting to know if there is someway I can increase my batch with my few remaining jars(i.e. inoculating rye or some such procedure)
Thanks for the info!

yes possible.
People to g2g all the time. just do it right.
I'd say, birth your cake, cut a couple sections out and try putting them in a couple jars.

yeah i would say "if your going to try it" crumble the cake like you would for a casing then evenly distribute into the rye jars and shake well. put in incubator and pray to the gods it stays contamn free. if it does you should have some fully colonized jars in about 5-7 days. yeah sweet huh?

Dont put it in a food processor or anything..just scoop some out into a jar. You only need a teaspoon of myc for a quart of grain..after 2 days..shake as hard as you can for 30 seconds and about 5 days later you should have some fully colonized jars. Using more myc to begin with will make them colonize faster but if you want to stretch the myc you can and it will still work..you only need a peice big enough for you to see.. This must be done in a COMPLETLY sterile environment such as a glovebox.
