Poppy Grow Space
    #3342538 - 11/10/04 05:58 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

I plan to have a poppy grow next spring.  I've worked pretty much everything out, except for the amount of space needed.  Outside, I have a lot space, but if anyone had kind of a rough estimate of how much space would be needed to plant roughly 100 Papaver somniferum that'd be great (I'm breaking them up into 100 group plots).  Thank you

4-6" plant spacing. FYI from some rough estimates it takes about 10 sq ft to get a gram of O.

Whoa, 10 sq ft to get a gram? I thought you could get a bit out of a single poppy (like 2-3 poppies a dose). I guess it doesn't take that much weight.

no, you don't really end up with too much latex from a single poppy pod.
