Yeah, they're screwed..there is really no way to get the proper water ratio by just injecting water into the substrate. It's just too bad that you already injected spores.

Well since you already injected, you might as well try. Get some bottled water and inject into substrate. Try 10cc's. Inject it like you would spores, evenly distributed.
Always finish what you started.

If you are trying this( I doubt it will work) then you should inject as much water as it supposed to be in a cake about 40-50 ml per cake.

If you forgot to put water in jars I sugest that you take out all you have in the jars and add the apropiate amount of water mix, and put them back. I don't know if this should work, but you can try it. The only bad thing is that spores will be spread to much. Good luck!

um, eh turbo, why don't you stop making assumptions on these boards? as a matter of fact, i hadn't smoked pot a few days prior to making the cakes, and i sure as hell wasn't high when making them. however, i was in a hurry and made a very idiotic mistake as a result. i'm wondering why you even replied to my message...
to everyone else, thanks, i'll inform you if anything works.

*IF you don't already have contams.
Maybe make new jars and use grains of the others to innoculate them before you add the verm layer. I assume that you are using pf tek?
I would think that the spores are fine where they are, you didn't actually do anything to hurt them, they're probably just really hungry. I'd move some of the wet innoc. point grains of the old jars to some new digs. Maybe even you unconsciously decided you were gonna go bulk today!
brf, brf everywhere, and not a grain to germinate. Bummer. lmao.

Lol I know man! I have no clue have to find how to post to a newer section everything I need to post on is so damn old that I find!
But just a heads up, I used the one fellows idea to use sterilize water from one of my pressure cookers and used my pen. It freakin worked!!! Out of 10 only 3 had to be tossed! 3 of them are still having alittle trouble colonizing completely but still on there way. 4 of them are growing miraculously. If you forget to do this best bet is to index them with sterile water that's not hot and just let it go! I use about 10-20cc in each probably could of done.more. Mostly objected directly on the center and slowly pulled out while injexting. I followed the same injection path as the begging process just more centered! If I knew how to show pictures is show you what they look like from the beginning.
On another note can someone help me find a good post to see if someone can help to tell if my one is ready to be picked??? Thanks from the noob!! Hope this helps other people who might make this oops.
Ps. Let me know if anyone wants pictures I know it an old thread lol

Hahaha ok ok so I'm guessing it's bad to post on all threads? I mean, the only reason I'm posting this on this thread is because when I googled dry cakes this is the only thread anywhere that had good info. So I wanted to update it so that anyone else searching the inter web could have the info as well! Made sense to me man. Let me know if this is frowned upon?

Use this version of the search engine... Limit the age of posts to within the last 2 years... That way you aren't resurrecting threads that are old enough to get pregnant...

Hahaha good one man, however I change my mind and I disagree with everyone's negative attitudes. For anyone doing global searches on the Internet for a specific item and this thread is the only thing that pops up for a matter like this... This thread does need to be resurrected and it's a great piece for ppl in the future to read others thoughts on it. It's like a running log. Hope whoever makes this mistake in the future finds this thread and it helps them as it did me. Here's some pix to help those
These are the dry cakes... http://
These are the cakes looking healthy after a few weeks of injexting steril water, note 3 went completely black and bad....
And now... Well you get the point

If you made a new thread with relevant keywords and subject, it would then be the one to come up. Then there would be a new thread with pics in the OP and good advice throughout.
I am amazed you pulled some fruits. Lucky stuff. Do it right next time and you will be amazed at how nice your harvest can be.

I know man I can't wait to do it again I had a blast with it. I got super lucky I think but also I took really good care of them. Always stayed steril.
And this is a stupid argument but I feel like I need to win and this is my final rant. If I started on a new forum id have to repost the other peoples ideas of how they thought would fix the issue. I want people to be able to see and or try some of the other mentioned ideas in this thread for themselves. Also, I did post my own thread on this under the pub section introducing myself and my first grow. Thanks for the input!

You will find that most people round here believe in doing things right or not at all. "Fixing" stuff often delivers contams and poor results. As you now know.
Also I see in other threads that you have an aversion to starting threads and prefer to resurrect the dead ones or jack live ones. You won't make many friends doing that. Regardless of how bad you want to win an argument, you are going to learn that we have some forms of courtesy here. Being rude is going to not help you.
Finally you can prove all the points you want against me. I really have nothing left to prove to anyone

IMO, if you forget to ever add water again, throw that shit out. Just start anew fuck that. So now if anyone searches and finds this thread again they'll have many more people saying this is just a bad idea. Toss them next time.

doing it right from the start is both the fastest and easiest way to success. You've spent more time "fixing" the error and getting lesser results than you would have if you just started over.
