quitting cigs?

It just dawned me that i want to quit smoking cigarettes. I've only been smoking for about 6 months, but i smoke about a pack a day now. I'm almost afraid to quit because i don't want the cravings and such, and i bet it'll put me in a bad mood sometimes. My whole household smokes, and so does my girlfriend, so it'd be hard. Any tips on quitting? Coffee/Tea as a substitute? Slowing down first? Getting an insane amount of pussy ? I just don't know if i can go through with this, i don't have much self control. This could be the onset of huge change for me.

Shit man, i wish i could afford an ounce of schwag right now! I also don't like feeling burntout, tired, and totally out of it after smoking too much schwag. Great idea though, i'll keep that in mind. Best idea i've ever heard for quitting cigs. Thanks for the support psilocybinjunky It's the sad, sad truth.

the best way to quit is immediately stop. You could test your self control or maybe even train it by quitting. good luck

i tried so hard at bowling...damn things riged.
anyway i stoped using that weed method. for me it wasnt so much teh nicotine that addicted me (although it did mildly), it was more jsut the habit of smoking. i found it easy to substitue it for somthing else. i think they also sell pussy cigs for this purpose. less everything in it but still a smoke.
better start eating them plants instead of smoking them if ya plan to quit...eh

I remember trying to quit cigarettes and start dreaming of me smoking a cigarette.
also if you smoke for 6 months thats plenty of time to quit cold turkey. Your lungs will love you for it. cant say much for me though i still smoke a pack a day.

Yea, at 6 months you're still in the clear to quit. DO IT WHILE YOU CAN.
I probably could but it would take more willpower than I'm willing to muster which is probably just another excuse I give myself to not quit.
I have been smoking regularly since I was 15, now I'm 21. I also smoked when I was 10 for around 5 months until my parents caught me... it made my mom cry and I quit until I was 15 at a party drinking beer. I was hammered and the cigarette nearly made me black out because of the head buzz it gave me. Anyway, smoking is stupid. I don't get any buzz or good feeling out of it and spend around $5 a day to support my damn habit.
Again, quit while you can. I know you can do it!

Okay spend all your money and avoid your smoking friends for 1 week. You'll quit, and most likely be able to avoid the temptation when you get back around your smoker friends again. Remember, every situation where you used to smoke is going to trigger a desire for it, going to have to beat those situations and you'll be fine. I quit for a week then I got 5 dollars and bought a pack. Now Ive quit for 3 days again...
Good luck...

6 months? that aint shit son. try quitting after several years.
1. smoke your last cigarettes and do not buy any more. 2. if you get a quick craving, bum. 3. your friends will get annoyed with you being a bum, eventually. 4. do not buy any more cigarettes 5. try to avoid situations where smoking is commonplace 6. if you get a craving, do something else - put your mind elsewhere (have a drink, go exercise, eat, fuck, smoke some pot) 7. do not buy any more cigarettes

If you have only been smoking for six months it should be fairly easy. If you have only been smoking for six months and you are already up to a pack a day, quitting is a great idea, that habit will only get worse as time goes on.
Just quit cold turkey. It shouldn't be too hard, considering the entirety of your life with the exception of the past six months have been smoke free. The hard part will be not picking it up again. The thing to remember is every time you quit, it makes the next time that much harder. So, if you are serious about it, remember that and never ever ever smoke another cigarette ever ever again
