Cyanescens in Oregon - Even more! - Pics
    #3339232 - 11/09/04 09:35 PM (19 years, 4 months ago)

Went back out today.

I bent down to pick some cyans, when a landscaper yelled at me from about 10 feet away. "You aren't pickin mushrooms are ya?" he said. I replied "Nah, I'm just doin my homework" and held my camera up. "I don't care if you pick em, just be careful when you use them!!!" he responded.

I thought to myself "Wow, either that guy is really dumb, or really smart."

While checking some of my other patches, a guy with dreadlocks and a greatful dead sweatshirt, smokin' a joint came rolling by on a skateboard. He hopped off and was like "Are they ready to pick yet!?" After a short talk, he told me that he had picked them his freshman and sophmore year of college. I told him about the landscaper, and he laughed. Supposedly he knew all of them, and told them what they were and not to fuck with the land too much. He said they were all cool about it and let them grow. I also realized that all the other lawnmowers and leafblowers goin around watching me sift through leaves and woodchips hours at a time knew exactly what my intentions were. Hahahaha.

He told me where a few more patches were and I showed him the ones I had found. He left for a while and came back with a some nice cyans he picked for me. After this he proclaimed that he wasn't into psychadelics after extensive use and some bad experiences, and skated off to do some work.

Here are some pictures!

Cluster + cluster

A few tall ones. When leaves are over them they really reeeeaaach for the light.

A yummy family posing for a picture. It's always nice to have a shoulder to lean on!

I'm letting these ones grow grow grow! :mushroomgrow: :mushroomgrow: :mushroomgrow: :mushroomgrow:

A lonely fellow. They dont grow very big in the pine debris

A nice little scattered group:

Here is a lovely mushroom in extra large resolution for your viewing pleasure. This thing is beautiful!

Its great to actually have some quality pictures of some Psilocybe cyanescens for once.

I swear, time and time again, I never see any "good" pictures of them.

These are great! Its like they are in front of your face, but, even more detailed. You can practically see the cellular structure
