A mini-bale of straw was broken up and had pre-soaked and then I was heating up my high-tech pasteurization vessel, a.k.a. pressure cooker with the lid off, and everything was going fine. Then I left to run an errand and I returned to find that the thermometer in the straw reading about 200 F. Is this batch doomed to bacterial infection, or could I say, repasteurize it at proper temperatures or use bleach? I'd be really thankful for any help.
