Heating pad? Reptile heating device, space heater, warmer temperature in house? (68 would be uncomfortable for me anyway)

No pressure cooker, sterilized by boiling jars in water for an hour, also while doing this some of the water leaked in through alumminum foil and water logged the cakes, they're useless.

Temps should be upped to 82-84 F using whatever and check your mixture if you think it's dry, not having enough water in your substrate is never a good thing. Gl and hope your shit works out.

I also dug some of the contam out with a sterilized spoon that was still hot as f*ck. Tried to kill all the little bastard mold with a flaming hot spoon, hope it worked.

yes, they are! boiling jars only seems to work about 25% of the time. if the mold doesn't get em, the bacteria will.

Probably not, theres usually more to it than the eye can see. Your best bet would (sorry to say) be getting a pressure cooker and *definately* some sort of heating device.

Looks like thats the plan, hopefully can fruit a couple of cakes, providing they get colonized, so I can trip at least once and make some damn spore prints

I think you are talking about incubation, right?
There is more than 1 reason for using an incubator. Invest in one. And don't try to fight the contam inside the jars. All you'll do is spread the spores/bacteria inside your house risking fruiting cakes in the future. Throw them out.
Sounds like you need to start over all together IMO.
