What would the detailed procedure be in doing this?
My buddy knows nothing of dunking and I was trying to help him out really quick.
H2O2? Refridgerator? I've read several things on cakes, but how exactly would he do this from start to finish on a straw log?

Its done to hydrate mycelium and is usually done after the first flush is harvested immediatly a dunk (in the fridge if you have room) with some h202. Dunk after every flush. After the dunk, patch any holes, mist as well as it needs to be if at all and throw it back into the fruiting chamber. Adds some water for another round.

Whoa, definately don't dunk as soon as spores are introduced to your substrate.
Wait for 100% colonization and then dunk/cold shock it and fruit.
Where you would dunk it would depend on how large your straw log is. I believe someone made a 5' straw log in the grow logs a while back and had to hang it from the ceiling.
I want to try an 8' long one with atleast a 1' diameter this upcoming summer.
Straw logs rock. Good luck with your grow man.
