Storing question.

When I store these MEATY FRUITS (hopefully), can I store them in tupperware? I did a search for storing and I kept getting diffrent things that would make them rot, or turn into goop. So I'm assuming tubberware at room temp is ok? I just don't want mushromm goop.

Now something we all like:

Brown paper bag in the fridge is the best way to keep them if you want them fresh, but drying is the best method if you're going to go with long term storage (over a week). Fresh mushies keep well for about a week in the fridge, but kinda taste a little funky after a few days in the fridge...

I asked the same here recently and what Zeroarmy says is correct. A week in the fridge, you want them longer then dry them instead!

You can put them in a tupperware. Throw in a bag of desiccant if you got them. If you don't have them, you can easily make one out of coffee filter and damp-rid.

You can also foodsaver with bags once they are dried.
Still, keep them in cool place.

you don't need to keep it in the fridge.. somewhere like 70ish is fine.(make sure your shrooms are cracker dry, though)

oh, after you dry them! shoulda been a bit more specific.

they'll keep for a while dry. what i've done to save some for new years is put them in an extra jar and put one of those shoe desiccant packs in there (i need new shoes every two months or so because i skateboard and wear them out...).

I read this in a faq somewhere around here and it works pretty dang well.

Just keep them in a cool-ish, dark place and they'll be fine. Reason for the cool-ish is heat will speed up the oxidizing process on the psilocybin/psilocin.

In the freezer or fridge, dont know what container is best, I think a tupperware box will do?

i'd think a tupperware container would work fine, that's what i store mine in, but i put them in a cupboard in my room.
