Newbie Contam question
    #3336009 - 11/09/04 06:08 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

My first growbox attempt started out bad with some bad advice from the retailer. I have harvested a good number of mostly black capped (cubensis) shrooms but almost all show some presence of a fine white feathery growth mostly between the gills but also a cobwebby white presence on the caps is this "Trich", or what? Are the safe to use? :frown:

Feathery growth between the gills doesnt sound good, cobweb itself is not harmfull, but cobweb does open up gateways to other contams like green and black mould. See if it grows, if it doesnt then it should be fine. A pic could be helpful

I don't think that's trich.
Maybe it's cobweb or some germinated spores due to improper drying.
For how long were they drying ?
