Firstly I was wondering what shape of scalpel blade is best for culture and cloning work and what size vials should I use to backup my strains in distilled water?
Secondly, I have a few fully colonised oyster jars that I want to test fruit rather then experimenting later with the big sawdust blocks I have incubating. So I was wondering what sort of lights should I buy to give them lighting? I was thinking about plugging a flouresent light into a lamp and shining it down on them. Also would a cool mist humidifier be enough for air exchange for oyster mushrooms?

Here you can find the growth parameters of the different oysters. I am quite sure that a cool mist humidifier will provide enough air exchange for them, but I have never tried it out myself. What kind of cool mist humidifier do you use ?
