If a person were to sterilized a container and put a fresh cap just picked and still wet into it and close it up air tight is this ok?? Will the cap rot?? Should the lid be loose??

ok update... Print dropped.
What the procedure that was done was: add sterilized water to the print after removeing the cap.
Then it was sucked into a syringe but the print was still on jar also.
Do the prints have to dry before adding water to make a syringe?

If so can it be dried by sitting in the container for awhile?

sure. i've done the same thing before and it worked out just fine. the print wasn't even dry when i made the syringe and i got a pretty fast start on colonization... plus i didn't have to wait for them to rehydrate.
