Kind of Worried

O.K., so I started growing, got everything I needed. Im using the BRF Verm casing. My strain is GT. I inoculated my jars 5 days ago, kept the temps just right, still absolutely no sign of colonizing. I think Im just impation, and paranoid, but if someone could comfort me, it would be most appreciated. Sorry for the bother.

if its been 5 days, and you kept the right temps, and followed the PF tek exactly...
I would give it 2 more days before I started to really worry..

Longest i've ever waited was 8 or 9 days..maybe it was 10? But the diff. between me and you was i kept the temp. way below what it was suppose to be and the mycelium just grew at a very very slow rate...it took about 6 wks for it to fully colonize, lol, great shit and lots of patience i must say, gl

Geesh.... numbers are everywhere... Don't worry about it as much. Once they germinate, you'll have plenty of time to watch and mess with terrarium. It should take aaround 6-10 days in ideal conditions.
The reason why it takes a long time to germinate sometimes is because the spores have to mate and GT can be picky sometimes.
But the biggest difference IMO is how much you packed. I know most newbies insist they don't pack, but I think they just don't understand what I mean by not packing. You might have to wait upto a month or if you really really fluffed your substrates, you'll be done within a week after germination.
Good luck

When I did BRF I always put it in the jars and "jiggled" it till it was flush with the glass.....

HEre's a pic of 2 jars uncooked. Going to be PC in about half an hour. I would consider this very very slightly packed.

I usually shake my brf jars while i fill them to get more open spaces for the myc. to grow, works out great, lots of tissue in there!
