i got some shrooms in the beginning of september and i am planning on eating them on saturday. i have kept them in a plastic bag in my dresser, they have turned a little brown, will these be ok to eat?
If they were dry you should be fine, but if they were dry I don't know why they would have changed color. In any event if they still smell like they should, and don't look decayed and rotten, I see no problem with it.
The browning might be of some concern. Were they exposed to sunlight? Are they still just as dry? (not bendy) The length of time should be perfectly fine. I've had far older ones without an issue. But, they didn't change color to my knowledge.
