i read a poll at Politiken (a very big Danish newspaper) - it was online next to an article about "Bush Re-elected" and the poll asked, "if you could vote in the US presidental election, who would you vote for?" The results (some 35,000 people had responded last time I saw the poll) were 79% John Kerry, 8% Ralph Nader, 6% George Bush, 5% None of the above...

And the Danish people are reading the same facts about George W as the American people.... such a huge difference of national opinion between two countries that really shouldn't be all that different (they are both the "developed world", yeah?)

There are at least two main differences:

1. The Danes are not pounded day and night by US TV propaganda disguised as news. As a smaller country, they get their news from multiple sources.

2. The Danes are able to better evaluate the facts without being blinded by emotionalism or nationalism; i.e., they owe no allegeiance to our current president.

There're a couple of other obvious differences:

1) Danes live in Denmark.
2) Danes are not American, and have different values and culture.


In any case, there's been plenty of election fraud in the past. However, it's pretty sad that we're doing so little to prevent and detect it now.
