I was in such a rush this afternoon I used tap water to hydrate the verm on the top layer.Should I remove the casing from my terrarium, and toss? Will the chemicals in the water totally destroy my casing?

That depends on your water. Did you sterilize the water first? If not, you might be in for some probs.

Nah I was in a stupid excited rush only sterilized the container. But I did do the process under sterile conditions as stupid as that may sound. Didn't sterilze the water, man what a waste.

Frothy.. I usually run through the entire procedure in my mind before doing it. That way you don't get going and realize the foil is up in the kitchen or whatever. I don't know if that would've helped you here, though.

I hope everything turns out OK. Give the mycelia some credit. My monkey's never seen a casing completely fail.
