iniating pinning

I have some bread pans filled with colonized manure that have been sitting in my terrarium for about two weeks and there are no signs of pinning. There are two strains, Cambodian and Gulf Coast. Is this normal or should I be doing something different. The temps are in the mid to high 70's and the humidity is anywhere from 89-95%. It varies at times but stays within this range. I have tried cold shocking them by putting ice-paks in the terrarium with the bread pans but it didn't do anything. I am having this problem with all the bread pans I have done this round. What should I do?

Did you apply a casing layer? If so what does it look like? I mean is it covered with mycelia? 10%? 100%?
Your parameters are right, no problem there.

recently ran into a similar problem where i thought i must have a latent contamination. then i decided to leave the terrariums on the floor rather than the shelf and the lower temps at night initiated pinning. sometimes you have to change with the weather, try it for 2 nights and fan 3x a day.

puscle-after the original layer was colonized I put another layer of pasteurized manure on top and used that as a casing layer sort of. It is now around 95-100% colonized.
shizifty-the terrarium is on a very low shelf only about a foot and a half off the ground. I have left a fan on to try to lower the temperature slightly.
Should I try cold shocking them again with Ice-paks? I'm worried that they might have made the temperature a little too low and hurt the mycelium.

Drag a fork thru it. Stir it up a bit. Case it with straight vermiculite.

I have a cool mist humidifier running almost constantly and I fan probably two to three times a day. I really want to get these to pin so if anyone else has suggestions I will try them.
Once I get some more vermiculite I will scratch them and case them. Does anyone see any reason to not try cold-shocking them again?
Thanks everyone

Try giving them a cold shock again and maybe drop the humidity level for a while. Changing the environment usually causes pinning.
