mushroom compost

I've been using some compost or should I say experimenting with it and it works well except for one thing it always get attacked by green mold or some other dark green contam visable on the surface. Is there any way to get rid of this problem?
any info would be greatly appreciated

How long did you pasturize/Sterelize?

what ratio of spawn to compost do you use? The key to avoiding contam. is to be anal retentive. Wipe down your table/bench with isopropyl alcohol. Wipe down your terrarium or container you plan to grow in with alcohol. Wipe your hands down with alcohol before mixing the crap together. Spray mixed spawn/compost with a diluted solution of H2O2(hydrogen peroxide). Cover container with saran wrap. If you use at least 25% spawn to 75% compost and you follow the above directions, there's no fuckin way you'll get contam, but you could always fuck up when you put on the casing layer...

How big is the bag, heat has to penetrate longer before reaching the core of something that's much bigger than a pint jar. So if having a size 2-4 times a pint jar you need to sterilise much longer than 50 mins!
