mushroom compost

I've been using some compost or should I say experimenting with it and it works well except for one thing it always get attacked by green mold or some other dark green contam visable on the surface. Is there any way to get rid of this problem?
any info would be greatly appreciated

adding some verm and steam sterilizing it.

I think if you are using 'mushroom compost', that might be your problem... 'mushroom compost' is made with spent/dead mushroom substrate, molds usually hit when the mycelium has flushed so many times and gets weak, this might be your problem... using old dead mycelium as a substrate. Just a guess though.
