I found these on my front lawn. Can anyone help indentify them?

I'm sure someone here can help, but first you must refer to the fifth post from the top in this forum. It is titled "***PLEASE READ*** Forum Rules and Guidelines + Quick ID Tips".

They appear to be Inky Caps or something I believe, I'm sure someone could ID it better though.

I see this is your very first post so...
WELCOME TO THE SHROOMERY!!!
There is a certain etiquette for posting on here and I know its your first time so I'll be the first to say
Check out the FAQs for this forum, before posting.

Its nearly impossible to tell what these are from those pictures, there's simply not enough info. For example, a shot of the gills would help greatly as well as a sporeprint(FAQs)

So like I said, read the FAQ and try again.

Heres more pics and I will go refer to the faq. The reason I posted is because my friend is on here a lot and he couldnt identify them.

not edible, not active.

Yes, I found some last week in the same habitat. Disgusting if you plan to eat though ... The caps open up very pretty though and look like they have eye lashes on the ends of the caps.

yeah i would say a coprinus without a doubt, if you mix them with the right ingredients, they CAN be good, but they're not my preference by any means

I just found these shaggies(coprinus comatus) earlier today:

First time in my area in about 7 years.

I agree with super, a lot of people refer to these as alcohol inkies, because of their effects if consumed with alcohol.
